Watches that you can legitimately request for Christmas
What is it?
A round up of what’s new in the affordable watch market.
What’s good about it?
Good looking watches that won’t cripple you financially and if you lose it, you can always buy another one. Try saying that about a Jaeger Le Coutre.
What’s bad about it?
Don’t expect them to feel weighty in your hand.
So what’s new?
Top of the list is Toywatch with their limited edition collection launching exclusively in Selfridges London. The watches are all Union jack themed and come in red, white and blue (pictured below), or if you really want to look like a failed hip hop star, try the Swarovski crystal version. Sold exclusively at Selfridges London from £135

Ice- watches
This time it’s the Belgian’s getting in on the action with Ice watches. Started in 2007 they’re already sold in 15 countries. They also produce plenty of original designs for an extremely affordable price. You’ll pay from £55 for one of these.

Triwa
A Swedish watch brand designed, so the story goes, for rich people who were tired of having their expensive watches snatched from their wrists by thieves. Enter Triwa, producing low cost versions of the watches that were being nicked. The model pictured is the Petroleum Dandy which will set you back £85.
